Universal Pendulum President/Minister, Ronnie Coleman, is a former NFL running back with the then Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans). He was with the team from 1974 to 1981, and was the leading rusher for multiple seasons before the arrival of Earl Campbell. After retiring from the NFL, Ronnie worked as a teacher in some of the most disadvantaged schools in the Houston area for almost 30 years (Harris County Youth Village, Booker T. Washington, and Phyllis Wheatley in Fifth Ward, to name a few). He worked part time for more than a decade with disadvantaged young people, serving as director of the Community Center for a large apartment complex in Houston. Ronnie is author of Third Down and Goal, a book about his life on and off the football field and how learning from his mistakes helped him turn his life around.
Universal Pendulum Vice President/Co-Minister, Julia Carter-Coleman, is a woman of God who accepted Christ at an early age and began street witnessing in neighborhoods and hospitals around Houston. After graduating from college, Julia became a flight attendant with Braniff International and Continental airlines where she continued sharing her faith with travelers and co-workers. Over a decade later, she left the airlines and began teaching speech and theater arts (for five years) in the Alief Independent School District. Minister Coleman's I'm Saying-Stuff Christians Need to Speak Out On, is her first published book. Both Minister Ronnie and Julia are currently working on their second literary publications.
Minister Julia once took to the airways as a flight attendant/soul saver as you read earlier, but now hits the skies full time with no distractions as a soul saving woman of God intent on speading the message of Jesus in addition to blessing God's children with tangible necessities. She has embarked on an international journey to Lagos, Nigeria thus far with the intention of planning a return trip to Africa in 2014. Minister Coleman's relentless fervor to help the less fortunate has caused her to go by the surname of Madame Help. This describes exactly who she is; a help asset to the entire world.
In addition to her book, another of Minister Julia's contributions to the literary and print world is her article in the premiere issue of the magazine Gospel Voice (Bishop T.D. Jakes appeared on said magazine cover). In her article, Minister Coleman touched on whether secular recording artists should also sing gospel.
Minister Coleman/Madame Help is available for speaking engagements and book signings whenever her schedule clears. Visit our contact page to view how to book The Coleman Ministers.
